Scale
of Pay : Rs.
8000-275-13,500/- plus non-practicing allowance as admissible to analogous posts
in the Central Health Service.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years
as on 30/05/2008. Upper age limit
is relaxable for employees of ESIC and Government servants up to 5 years, for
SC/ST candidates up to 5 years, for OBC candidates up to 3 years. Ex-Servicemen candidates are allowed age
relaxation in accordance with DOPT
Essential Qualifications:
1. A recognized medical qualification included in
the first or second Schedule or Part-II of third Schedule (other than
licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualification included
in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil
the conditions stipulated in Sub-Section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian
Medical Council Act, 1956.
2. Completion of Compulsory rotating internship.***
3. Language test: The candidate shall have to pass
a qualifying test of middle standard in official language of the State
concerned where the vacancies are notified.

NOTE
I : ***Candidates who have
not completed rotating internship shall be eligible to appear for the written
examination provided that, if selected, they shall satisfactorily complete the
compulsory rotating internship before appointment.

Scale of Pay
: Rs.
10,000-325-15,200/- plus non-practicing allowance (NPA) as admissible to
analogous posts in the Central Health Service.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 45 years as on 30/05/2008. Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST
candidates upto 5
years, for OBC candidates upto 3 years' and for Govt. Servants and ESIC
employees upto 5 years. Ex-Servicemen
candidates are allowed age relaxation in accordance with DOPT
Essential Qualifications:
1. A recognized medical qualification

connected with the speciality for a period of :
a) 3 years in case of P.G. degree holders.

4. Language test
: The candidate shall have passed middle level examination in official
language of the State concerned where the vacancies are notified.
NOTE I : Work experience after obtaining the P.G.
degree/ diploma will be reckoned as on 30/05/2008. Experience certificates duly signed by the
Head of Department indicating clearly the period and nature of work, should be
submitted along with the application form.
NOTE II : Qualifications with regard to experience are
relaxable at the discretion of the Appointing Authority on recommendation of
the Selection Committee in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
NOTE III : The qualifications regarding experience in
respect of Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes candidates is relaxable
based on the guidelines issued by the Government of India from time to time.

University / Statutory State Board / Council / Faculty of Indian Medicine or
equivalent under Indian Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970).

The candidate shall have to pass a qualifying middle standard test in official
language of the State concerned where the vacancies are notified.

Completed
applications along with attested copies of certificates are to be sent in a cover superscribed “Application for the
post of Specialist Grade-II”, State Applied For Karnataka”, Specialty Applied For __________________” by Registered Post/Speed
Post so as to reach the Senior
State / State Medical Commissioner, ESI Corporation, Regional Office, Panchdeep Bhawan, No.10, Binny Peth, Binny Fields, Bangalore- 560023(Karnataka). as
per following instructions.
Applications received after the due date or incomplete in any
respect will not be considered. Candidates employed in Govt./
Semi Govt. /Autonomous bodies should send
their applications through proper channel.
However, they may send an advance copy
of their application before the due date.
The advance copy should also be complete
in all respects, enclosing attested copies of all certificates.
The E.S.I. Corporation reserves the
right not to call candidate for the interview.
Candidates are advised to go through
the “INSTRUCTIONS” attached to the prescribed

(B) Applicants
for the post of IMO Gr.II, Dental Surgeon and Medical Officer (Ayurveda) may apply in the form appended below.
Application complete in all respects and enclosing
attested copies of all essential certificates are to be sent in
a cover superscribed “Application for the post of _____________”, State
Applied For Karnataka”, by Registered Post/Speed Post so as to reach the
Senior State / State Medical
Commissioner, ESI Corporation, Regional Office, Panchdeep Bhawan,
No.10, Binny
Peth, Binny Fields, Bangalore-560023(Karnataka)
as per following instructions.
The following testimonials etc. should be
attached with the application form :-
(a)
Three
copies of recent passport size photographs duly attested by Group ‘A’/Group ‘B’
Gazetted Officer, with one photograph pasted on the application form.
(b)
Attested
copies of certificates and testimonials in proof of age/date of birth,
educational qualifications and experience etc.
(c)
Attested
copy of community/status certificate in prescribed form in case of candidates
belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH category. Candidates claiming reservation/age
relaxation on the grounds of belonging to OBC should submit the community
certificate in Annexure-‘A’ prescribed vide Govt. of India, Deptt.
of Personnel & Training O.M. No. 36012/22/93/Estt.
(SCT) dated 15-11-93 failing which the benefit of reservation or age relaxation
will not be given.
(d)
Two self
addressed envelopes of size 23 x 10 cms.

Note 1:- The application and other documents should be arranged in the
following order, one below the other and tagged tightly or stappled
on the left hand side top corner:
(i)
Two
additional photographs.
(ii)
Application
form.
(iii)
Attested
copies of certificates.
(iv)
Self
addressed envelopes.
Note 2:- The demand draft should not be tagged or stappled
but should be pinned or clipped at the top of the application form. The name and address of the candidate and
the post applied for
should be written on reverse of the demand draft.
General
Conditions:-
(i)
Mere
submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate for being
called for written test/interview.
(ii)
A
candidate should submit one application only.
Submission of more than one application may lead to rejection of all applications
submitted.
(iii)
Application
should be submitted in the prescribed form only. It should be filled up in block/capital
letters in the candidates own handwriting.
(iv)
Incomplete
or Unsigned applications or the applications received without the certified
copies of mark sheets/certificates of educational qualification, examination
fee, caste and photographs and those received after the last date of receipt of
applications will summarily be rejected without any communication to the
candidate.
(v)
The
centre of examination once opted will not be allowed to be changed.
(vi)
Wrong declarations/submission of false
information or any other action contrary to law shall lead to cancellation of
the candidature at any stage.
(vii)
ESIC
will not be responsible for postal delays.
The examination shall be conducted
at
Mode
of Selection:-
(a) The
selection for the posts of Specialist Grade-II (Junior Scale),
will be on the basis of interview which will be conducted by the Selection
Board at a suitable place in the State particularly the State capital. The
results of the interview will be published in the Employment News/Rozgar
Samachar and no inquiry or correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
(b) However, the selection for the post of
Insurance Medical Officer Grade-II, Dental Surgeon and Medical Officer
(Ayurveda) will be made on the basis of written test (objective type) followed
by interview of those candidates who qualify the written test. The result of the written test and final
result after interview will be published in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar or
any other national /local daily and no inquiry or correspondence in this regard
will be entertained.
No TA/DA will be paid to any
candidate including SC/ST candidates for appearing in the written test.
Note 1 : Number of vacancies can vary at the time of
selection.
Note 2 : ADVERTISEMENT SHOWING TOTAL NUMBER OF
VACANCIES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY IN ALL THE FOUR CADRES AND OTHER DETAILS IS
ALSO BEING PUBLISHED IN THE EMPLOYMENT NEWS.
Note 3 : The
candidate applying for the post of Specialist should mention state of his / her
choice on the top right hand side of the application form.
Note 4 : The selected candidates
will be kept posted in the State chosen, upto the promotional post
carrying a pay scale of Rs. 12,000-375-16,500/- in the respective cadre, as far
as possible, but they are liable to be posted anywhere in India.
Note 5 : The interview for the post of Specialist
Grade-II (Junior Scale) will be held at a suitable place in the respective
State preferably State capital which will be notified at the time of calling
for interviews. The candidates may indicate their choice of the State on the
top right hand side of the application form. The Corporation, however, reserve its right
not to conduct interview in the State
chosen by the candidate and to call candidates to a venue other than his/her
choice, in the event of inadequate number of candidates available for interview
in a particular venue.
Note 6 : The crucial date for determining the age
limit shall be the closing date of receipt of applications from candidates in
India (and not the closing date prescribed for those in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram,
Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division
of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi
Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh,
Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep).
Caution: - Canvassing in any form will be a
disqualification.
